Where to fish by the sea in Binic Etables sur Mer
Fishing on foot is one of the most popular activities for shellfish lovers, as long as you follow a few rules to enjoy the products of the sea while respecting this fragile environment.
There are a few spots on the coastline that are well known to anglers: the Plage du Moulin and the Plage des Godelins are two of the best.
With a little patience and luck, you'll find razor clams, prawns and cockles at the next low tide...

The scallop shell
The scallop shell takes its name from the pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
In the Middle Ages, they decorated their coats with these shells, as a sign of recognition and a test of their journey. But the shell was also used for drinking and eating.
The adductor muscle, known as the scallop nut, is highly prized in cooking.
In order to protect resources and give the scallops time to reproduce, scallop fishing on foot is strictly regulated and is only authorised from October to April by prefectoral decree.
