Markets - Binic-Étables-sur-Mer (block preview)

Our markets in Binic-Étables-sur-Mer

Three markets a week, all year round. Basket in hand, you become part of local life: the scent of spices, warm crêpes and galettes, fish landed that morning.

Thursday

Binic

Place Le Pomellec and Rue Joffre

Mornings, all year round. One of the most colourful markets in the area — a holiday must.

Tuesday

Étables-sur-Mer

Rue Touroux

8am to 1pm, all year round. A small, friendly food market with around fifteen stallholders.

Sunday

Étables-sur-Mer

Rue Touroux

8am to 1pm, all year round. The weekend market — for fresh bread and the week's vegetables.

In July and August, Binic's market doubles in size

On Thursdays, the stalls spill out from Place Le Pomellec and Rue Joffre and stretch all along the quays, facing the harbour. Allow extra time to explore it all, and arrive early: parking fills up fast in season.

Markets nearby, day by day

There's a market every day of the week within an hour's drive. Hours often run later in summer and shorten in winter, so aim for mid-morning.

Making the most of the market

A few pointers so you can set off with a clear mind, an empty basket and some change in your pocket.

Come in the morning

Most markets start around 8am and pack up between noon and 1pm. Fish and shellfish go first — the best pickings are before 10:30am.

Plan for parking

In Binic on summer Thursdays, spaces in the centre fill up early. Park on the outskirts and walk to the quays: it's a five-minute stroll and a lovely way to reach the harbour.

Bring a basket and cash

Many producers take cards, but not all. A tote or cloth bag saves on plastic, and the crêpe and galette stalls are often cash only.
