The port of Binic

The harbour basin

A former major fishing port

Binic was recognised as France's leading port for deep-sea fishing in Newfoundland in 1845 and 1847, with a fleet of 37 vessels.

From the 1970s until 1987, the port of Binic was a major fishing port for shellfish, and today it is one of the most important marinas in the department.

Close to the shops

The port of Binic is ideally located, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is surrounded by fine sandy beaches and a seawater swimming pool at Plage de la Banche.

Every Thursday morning, the market takes place a stone's throw from the port, where you'll find all the local and seasonal produce you need.
In summer, the market is transformed and moves to the quays along the harbour.
